About Water Is Awesome

Water Is Awesome is a water education and conservation project created through regional cooperation among the area’s largest water providers – Dallas Water Utilities, North Texas Municipal Water District and Tarrant Regional Water District. All three organizations have a shared mission to help people learn to appreciate this valuable resource and learn how to use it more efficiently.

Our region is growing rapidly and water resources are stretched further every single day. While new water sources are being developed, it’s critical that we do everything we can to conserve the water we already have. The Water Is Awesome program is designed to educate customers about water conservation, smart yard planning and taking active steps to use less water in maintaining their yards.
